Ahmadu Emmanuel Iko-Ojo

Head of Product and Platform

Shaping one seamless product experience across mobility, gigs, and marketplace

Ahmadu Emmanuel Iko-Ojo leads Product and Platform at DexTask. His responsibility is to make sure DexTask feels like one complete product rather than a collection of separate modules. Whether a student is booking a ride, hiring a campus helper, or buying from the marketplace, he works to ensure every journey is consistent, intuitive, and dependable. His role combines product thinking with technical coordination so every release improves the overall experience instead of solving problems in isolation.

He maintains the product backlog, organises feature priorities, and works closely with the Founder and CEO to determine what should be built next. He oversees marketplace operations from the product side by reviewing listing verification requests, monitoring shop standards, managing platform configuration, and ensuring marketplace policies are reflected correctly in the system. Across the Gigs platform, he manages pricing and configuration while supporting Trust and Support whenever an issue is rooted in product behaviour rather than user conduct. He also coordinates technical releases, update configurations, Launchpad announcements, and platform maintenance so every new version reaches students smoothly and reliably.

Beyond his operational responsibilities, Ahmadu has been passionate about technology from an early age. He began learning web development during his junior secondary school years, building a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that continues to shape his understanding of digital products today. Alongside his technical growth, his experience running a gadget business introduced him to customer needs, communication, sales, and the importance of building products that solve real everyday problems rather than simply showcasing technology.

Currently studying Software Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ahmadu continues to strengthen both his technical and product management skills. His academic journey complements his passion for building reliable digital products that are practical, scalable, and easy for students to use. He enjoys bridging the gap between engineering, design, and user experience, making sure ideas are transformed into thoughtful solutions that solve real campus problems. He believes great products are built through continuous learning, careful planning, and a genuine understanding of the people they are designed to serve.
