1. Commitment
DexTask wants students, operators, partners, and members of the public to be able to read dextask.app and to understand how to get help. This statement describes our approach to accessibility on the Website, known limits, and how to ask for an alternative.
It is not a claim that the Website or the App meets a particular numbered standard (for example a specific WCAG conformance level) on every page. We have not published an audit certificate for that purpose. We will not invent one.
2. Scope
This statement covers public pages on dextask.app, including product information, campus expansion, blog articles, support, contact, shop pages, and these legal documents. It does not claim that the mobile application has been certified under a named mobile accessibility scheme.
The App is a substantial part of DexTask. Some App screens use maps, camera capture, and live tracking, which can be difficult for some users. If a feature is unusable for you, contact support@dextask.app and describe the task you need to complete. We will say honestly what we can do.
3. What we try to do on the Website
On the Website we aim to:
- use semantic headings on articles and legal documents;
- keep a readable measure of line length on long documents;
- provide a table of contents with in-page anchors on legal documents;
- support keyboard use of primary navigation and forms;
- include alternative text on meaningful images where we control the markup;
- avoid relying on colour alone for every distinction;
- keep focus visible on interactive controls we design;
- publish legal documents as stable text, not as images of text.
Long legal pages use a collapsible contents list on small screens and a side contents list on large screens, so that you can jump to a section without scrolling blindly.
4. Technical notes
The Website is a Next.js site. Pages are rendered as HTML. We use a sticky header. In-page links on legal documents use a scroll offset so that a heading is not hidden under the header.
We use local fonts (Sora for headings, Inter for body text) so that text remains selectable and zoomable. Browser zoom should enlarge text. If a third-party advertisement or embed does not zoom well, that limit belongs to the embed.
Shop listing images may be decorative in part and informative in part. If an image is the only way to understand a defect in an item, the listing text should still describe the item. Sellers are asked in the Community Guidelines to describe condition honestly.
5. Known limitations
We know of the following kinds of limitation:
- Blog posts may include advertising units and affiliate blocks that we do not fully control.
- Embedded maps are not used as the primary Website interface, but some images of the App show maps that are not accessible equivalents.
- User-generated listing photographs on shop pages may lack good alternative text if the seller did not write a useful title.
- Motion on marketing pages is limited, but we have not published a site-wide "reduced motion" certification.
- The mobile App's camera-based verification and map modules may not be usable without sight or without a device that supports those sensors.
If you use a screen reader and a particular page is announced in a confusing order, tell us the URL and the browser.
6. Campus context
DexTask is built for Nigerian university campuses. Accessibility on campus also includes physical access to keke pickup points and meet-up spots. The App cannot redesign a campus. Approved Operators and Student Users should still show ordinary courtesy if a passenger or counterparty needs more time to board or to inspect an item.
We do not claim that every vehicle available through Rides is wheelchair accessible. If that is a requirement for you, contact support before you rely on a Ride, and we will say what we actually know for that campus.
7. How to request help
Email support@dextask.app. You may copy inquiry@dextask.app.
Please include:
- the page URL;
- what you were trying to do;
- the assistive technology, browser, or device you use, if you are willing to share that;
- a description of what went wrong.
We aim to reply within one business day. We may offer a text alternative, a phone or email workaround, or a correction to the page. We do not promise a particular engineering timeline.
If your request is also a data subject request (for example, you need your data in an accessible format), say so. The Privacy Policy explains NDPA rights, including receiving a copy of personal data in a commonly used electronic format.
8. Law
Nigerian law on discrimination and on consumer fairness may apply to digital services in particular facts. This statement does not waive those rights. It also does not assert a defence that we have already met every possible accessibility duty.
The Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018 is part of the federal framework on disability in Nigeria. We have not published a separate accessibility compliance certificate under that Act. If you need a reasonable accommodation in dealing with DexTask as a member of the public or as a user, ask us using the contact details above.
9. Updates
This statement was published on 20 October 2026. We will update it when we make a material change to Website accessibility, or when we can honestly report a new limitation or improvement.
