Joshua Emmanuel Chima

Joshua Emmanuel Chima, known as Josh El, is first and foremost a student leader. Long before DexTask he was already in the rooms where decisions get made, rallying peers around shared goals, mediating when opinions clashed, and learning that leadership is less about titles and more about whether people trust you when things get hard. That instinct runs through everything he does at DexTask today.

He is also a project manager who thrives on structure without suffocating creativity. He breaks ambitious plans into clear milestones, assigns ownership without creating confusion, and tracks progress in a way that keeps momentum visible to everyone involved. Students trust him because he listens first and acts second. Teams trust him because he follows through, and because he remembers the details that slip past most people.

Joshua joined DexTask to help solve a problem he had seen up close: brilliant students full of drive, stuck behind broken systems for getting around campus, finding honest work, and trading safely with one another. He came in as an advocate of growth. Someone who believes the platform should expand carefully, but never stop expanding. Growth with guardrails. Scale with accountability. Progress that students can actually feel.

As Chief Operating Officer he owns campus operations day to day. He works with the Founder and CEO to turn strategy into weekly reality, and he chairs organisation meetings when the Founder and CEO is away so continuity never drops. He holds the operational playbook: how a new campus gets onboarded, how partner relationships stay healthy after launch day, and how rides, gigs, and marketplace stay in sync so DexTask feels like one ecosystem.

His days move between high level planning and ground level problem solving. One hour he is refining rollout timelines with campus ambassadors. The next he is with Keke operators and fleet partners, untangling a logistics issue, or sitting with the product team to make sure an operational constraint is reflected before something ships. He is the person who asks what happens on campus Tuesday when this launches Monday, and makes sure someone has an answer.

Josh El brings an energy that is hard to fake. He shows up in student union meetings, planning sessions, and the follow up messages that close loops others forget. He celebrates wins publicly and addresses gaps privately, because operations is a credibility game. Students will forgive a bug once, but they will not forgive a platform that feels disorganised twice.

He believes DexTask succeeds when operations and ambition are treated as equals. Vision without execution is a poster. Execution without vision is chaos. His work is to hold both, to keep the company moving fast enough to matter and steady enough to last.
